Firefighters called to South Street fire in Greenfield

Firefighters from the Paint Creek Joint EMS and Fire District responded to this fire at the Clarence Gates house in the 300 block of South Street in Greenfield Tuesday.

The fire district reported all occupants safely exited the house.

The time of the initial call was 12:09 p.m. Tuesday.

According to Paint Creek Joint EMS and Fire District, the fire started in the basement.

The fire gained access to an interior wall, which gave it access to all floors, including the attic.
 
Paint Creek firefighters were assisted on scene by Leesburg (District 300), Wayne Township (Fayette County), and Bainbridge Fire Department.
