Earzlink Hearing Care opens Hillsboro office

Grand opening ceremony, special events planned the week of Sept. 13

Earzlink Hearing Care is one of Ohio’s premiere providers of meaningful hearing solutions and has announced the opening of its new business on West Main Street in Hillsboro, said Timothy A. Cross, regional manager and board certified hearing instrument specialist.

"We seek to place our patients in the best possible solution by considering their unique lifestyles, communication limitations, and their ability to invest in their hearing," Cross said. "Often times, our patients will already own hearing aids. Our first objective, in these cases, is to maximize their present hearing solution through updated evaluations, followed by benefit verifications. By doing so, we most often improve their present hearing experience, and can determine if change is necessary."

Cross received his communications training from the University of Dayton, where he graduated in 1982. He studied counseling at Pensacola Christian College and Liberty University, and has helped people with their hearing needs for the past 25 years. He has been board certified in hearing instrument sciences since 1992.

Working with primary care providers is an essential part of Earzlink's complete program of care. They share the results and recommendations of each evaluation, as allowed by their patients, to ensure that proper care is administered. 

  "As we work together with our patients, we share our findings, offer options, and move forward only with the patient’s permission," Cross said. "By allowing patients to determine if they are fully satisfied with our care before making a final commitment, we achieve the highest levels of hearing satisfaction." 

Earzlink Hearing Care is located at 934 West Main Street in Hillsboro, across from Holthouse Furniture, and next door to Dr. Ralph E. Williams and Dr. Leah McConnaughey, optometrists. 

Earzlink Hearing Care sees patients every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and at other times to accommodate their patients' busy lifestyles. 

Although Earzlink Hearing Care has already been serving the hearing needs of Highland County residents since late July, they have chosen to delay their announcement of their grand opening in order to offer a number special events and activities. On Monday, Sept. 13, at 10 a.m., they will be providing free hearing gift packets, a $50 value, for the first 50 visitors to stop by the office. A limited number of hearing evaluations and live digital hearing demonstrations will be provided on Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

On Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 2 p.m., will be the official ribbon cutting ceremony. At this time there will a drawing to give away $10,000 worth of hearing care prizes including the grand prize, a new set of digital hearing instruments featuring automatic noise reduction and artificial intelligence, prioritizing speech over noise. (The winners of the prizes must have hearing loss that is correctable to receive the prizes.) Refreshments will be provided, and family members are welcome to attend.
