Defendant sentenced for allegedly selling meth in Hillsboro business parking lot
A man indicted in connection with a Highland County Task Force investigation last fall was sentenced recently to 18 months in prison.
Porter Kilmer, 41, was indicted by a Highland County grand jury in October 2024 on one count each of aggravated trafficking in methamphetamine and aggravated possession of methamphetamine, both third-degree felonies. According to court records, Kilmer pleaded guilty to the trafficking charge in January.
For that charge, a bill of particulars alleges that on or about March 12, 2024, Kilmer sold meth in the parking lot of a Hillsboro business. A confidential informant (CI) working with the Highland County Task Force arranged to purchase “two eight-balls of meth” from Kilmer and met in the parking lot, where Kilmer allegedly sold 6.94 grams of meth.
Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss sentenced Kilmer to 18 months in prison, with jail time credit of one day. Kilmer was also ordered to pay $90 in restitution to the Task Force.
According to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, Kilmer is incarcerated in the London Correctional Institution.
