Congressman Wenstrup commends Junior Fair Board
Second District Congressman Brad Wenstrup made a contribution to the Highland Junior Fair Board Saturday, Sept. 6 in order to help fund a patriotic capital improvement to the fairgrounds.
The project will honor local service men and women, area veterans, and the nation.
After speaking with the youths, Rep. Wenstrup said he was looking forward to seeing the completed project at next year's fair.
In a letter to the Junior Fair Board, the congressman said:
"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your participation in this year’s Highland County Fair. The work you do as a Junior Fair Board is invaluable to the fair’s operations and the thousands who enjoy the fair each year.
"Representing engaged, active, and service-minded youth like you in Washington, D.C. is a privilege. I’m always delighted when members of our local 4-H, FFA, or the scouts are able to visit my office in the nation’s capital.

"In recognition of your commitment to Highland County, the state of Ohio, and our nation, I wanted to take this opportunity to help further your mission of service within your community. With this letter, you will find a donation of $100 to your Junior Fair Board for the purpose of completing a patriotic service project. This donation is specifically intended for a capital improvement project on the fair grounds.
"Examples may include a patriotic project to honor our men and women in uniform, our veterans, or our nation. Possibilities include a military tribute or memorial marker, new flags or a flagpole, a patriotic park bench dedicated to the county veterans, or landscaping project.
"I look forward to seeing the completed project next summer! Congratulations on another successful fair. Your contributions and commitment to the fair are commendable, and I hope Highland County can continue to rely on your continued participation."
