Commissioners present proclamation for Vietnam Veterans Traveling Tribute

Support Our Troops Of Highland County is presenting the Vietnam Veterans Traveling Tribute, “The Wall,” at Liberty Park in Hillsboro, May 27-31.

In conjunction with the program, Highland County Commissioners Shane Wilkin, Tom Horst and Jeff Duncan signed a proclamation for the veterans’ tribute at their May 27 board meeting.

The year 2014 marked the 10th anniversary of SOTOHC, and as a way to give back to the community and veterans who have helped support them all these years, they felt that this would be a fitting way to say “thank you.”

Support Our Troops of Highland County also has arranged for The Eyes of Freedom: Lima Company Memorial to be at Liberty Park for the duration of the Vietnam Veterans Tribute. For information, go to: http://www.highlandcountypress.com/main.asp?Search=1&ArticleID=27737&Section
