Clermont County man indicted over alleged social media posts
Zachary Taylor, 29, of Union Township, Clermont County, was indicted Feb. 18 concerning explicit content allegedly posted to his social media account.
Fox was charged with six counts of menacing by stalking, five felonies of the fourth degree and one misdemeanor of the first degree; and three counts of pandering obscenity, all fifth-degree felonies.
On Friday, Feb. 7 at 6:50 p.m., deputies from the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office were called to residence for a report of concerning content allegedly posted to a social media site belonging to a known individual.
Upon arrival, the victim told deputies they attend church with Fox and that they were told from concerned church members about some content being posted to Fox’s social media profile. It was alleged that Fox posted several messages and videos of himself in various states of obscene acts while nude, most of which allegedly mentioned specifically the victim and the victim’s juvenile child. Allegedly included in the posts were disturbing messages about what Fox’s intentions were with the victims.
Deputies were able to examine the content due to the profile being public. The victims identified Fox in the videos and pictures as being the allegedly responsible party, explaining Fox had allegedly tagged the church in some of these explicit posts.
Due to the alleged presence of sexually charged content, including elements that were threatening in nature, deputies immediately responded to the 3900 block of Pharo Drive in Union Township, Clermont County, where Fox was reported to live. Deputies made contact with Fox, who attempted to hide a cellular device allegedly associated with the investigation and initially told deputies he was not responsible for the content. Upon further discussions with Fox, he allegedly confirmed he attended the church and knew the victims.
Fox was arrested and transported to the Clermont County Jail. Detectives continue to investigate Fox’s social media accounts and the cell phone seized through search warrants in an effort to identify any unknown content that could lead to additional alleged victim(s).
An indictment is merely a charge and is not evidence of guilt.
