A Chillicothe man was sentenced last week to a year and a half in prison after pleading guilty to a drug trafficking charge in Highland County.

As previously reported, Noah Boggs, 25, was one of seven individuals arrested April 8 as part of a Highland County Task Force roundup, following indictments handed down by a Highland County grand jury April 7.

Boggs was charged with aggravated trafficking in methamphetamine, a third-degree felony; and theft by deception, a first-degree misdemeanor.

The indictment alleged that on or about Oct. 8, Boggs “did knowingly sell or offer to sell” meth “in an amount equal to or exceeding bulk amount but less than five times bulk amount.”

Boggs pleaded guilty to the trafficking charge June 17, with the theft charge dismissed. After accepting Boggs’ guilty plea, Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss sentenced Boggs to 18 months in prison, with jail time credit of 71 days. Boggs was additionally ordered to pay $100 in restitution to the Highland County Task Force.
