Chairman Comer and Rep. Luna announce appointments to Declassification and Transparency Task Force

WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) and Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), newly appointed chairwoman of the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, this week announced the following Republican members will serve on the panel:

• Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), chairwoman

• Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.);

• Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.);

• Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.);

• Rep. Eric Burlison (R-Mo.);

• Rep. Eli Crane (R-Ariz.); and

• Rep. Brandon Gill (R-Texas).

“Ensuring government transparency for the American people is a core mission of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. The Republicans on Rep. Luna’s task force are steadfast champions of transparency, and I am confident they will vigorously pursue and deliver the truth on critical issues,”said Chairman Comer.

“We have assembled a team of dedicated leaders who have consistently fought for transparency and full disclosure. Our mission is simple: to ensure these documents are released swiftly and in their entirety, giving the American people the truth they deserve. I appreciate my colleagues for stepping up to this critical task and putting the public’s right to know first,”said Representative Luna.

"Government transparency has been overdue for far too long, and with DOGE already uncovering billions in waste, fraud, and abuse, we know this is the tip of the iceberg," said Rep. Nancy Mace.

"We’re talking about Epstein's client list, UAP’s, and assassination files. Classifying what should be public means holding Washington accountable, cutting the red tape, and exposing what our tax dollars are actually funding. We will be the dream team to give the American people the answers they are owed."
