A temporary restraining order has been filed in Highland County Common Pleas Court against the city of Hillsboro and Safety and Service Director Ralph Holt by Building Crafts Inc. of Wilder, Ky.

 

"This is an action by a low bidder, Building Crafts, against the city and Holt relating to the bidding and award of a construction contract known as the city of Hillsboro Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade project," the order states.

 

According to Case No. 09CV519, the court has reviewed the matter and concluded a restraining order is appropriate. The court has ordered the city not to award the construction contract to any party other than Building Crafts, Inc. during the pendency of the order.

 

The court order will be in effect for 14 days. A preliminary injunction is set for Oct. 5 at 9 a.m.
