Highland County Auditor Bill Fawley and County Engineer Dean Otworth were the guest speakers at the March 26 luncheon meeting of the Highland County Board of Realtors held at the Ponderosa Restaurant in Hillsboro.

Fawley and Otworth presented the new Conveyance Standards and Boundary Survey Requirements for Highland County. The new standards are effective April 6, 2015.

They presented a 12-page document used for implementing standards governing the conveyance of real property. These standards are to comply with the Ohio Revised Code (O.R.C.) 319.203 land conveyance standards.

The document outlines the general and minimum requirements for “all instruments of conveyance in Highland County.”

Requirements for transferring existing deed descriptions, new surveys, subdivisions, condominiums, plats and legal descriptions are included.

The document is available online at: http://www.highlandcountyauditor.org/Forms/Highland%20County%20Conveyance%20Standards.pdf.
