Big Ernie's Pizza signs going up

The outdoor sign for the Big Ernie's Pizza restaurant was put in place Tuesday, March 18 at the Harry Sauner Road establishment named after Hall of Fame broadcaster Ernie B. Blankenship.

Randy Abbott of Abbott Signs was working on the exterior signage Tuesday afternoon, while Todd Blankenship was overseeing interior work. The interior design includes local sports memorabilia and banners from Highland County's five public high schools.

There's also a "Press Box" room for parties and group or team events.

Mr. Blankenship said the family is hoping to be serving pizza to the community in April.
