Big Ernie's Pizza hosts pre-grand-opening event April 12

Family, friends and special guests attended the pre-grand-opening of Big Ernie's Pizza on Saturday, April 12.

The Harry Sauner Road restaurant is named after Hall of Fame broadcaster Ernie B. Blankenship. Ernie's wife, Rita Kay, and sons, Todd, Ryan and Ernie, welcomed guests on Saturday night.

Big Ernie's Pizza will be open to the public on Monday, April 21.

The pizzeria features a thin crust signature pizza, along with traditional favorites such as sandwiches and salads.

The interior design includes local sports memorabilia and banners from Highland County's five public high schools.

There's also a "Press Box" room for parties and group or team events.
