Bicycle Rodeo winners announced

Hailey Baldwin and Tyrus Cumberland won brand new bicycles at the Leesburg Bicycle Safety Rodeo held at the Fairfield Elementary School parking lot on May 9.

The bicycles were donated by Leesburg Masonic Lodge 78 and presented to the winners by lodge members. The rodeo was sponsored by the Leesburg Lions Club with help from the Leesburg Fire Department, Leesburg Police Department, Masonic Lodge, Highland District Hospital and other volunteers.

Every child who attended had their bicycles checked, learned about bicycle safety, received a helmet and had their bikes registered by the Leesburg Police Department.

A big thank you to all who took the time to volunteer at this event.
