Harvey E. Pierce

Harvey E. Pierce, 87, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Greenfield Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation.
 
He was born July 6, 1935 in Leesburg, the son of Ralph Lee Wesley and Irene (McCoy) Pierce.
 
Harvey was a 1955 graduate of Fairfield High School. He was an active member of the Leesburg Church of Christ and deacon for many years. He was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman and gospel music fan and attended the Westfall Gospel Sing in Mt. Sterling for many years. He retired in 1999 from Bundy Tubing of Sabina.  
 
He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, including a special nephew, Victor McCarty of Washington C.H.; and one brother, George L. (Emma) Pierce of Washington C.H.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol L. (McCarty) Pierce, on Sept. 20, 2002; two brothers, Loren Edward Pierce and Harold L. Pierce; one sister, Wilma Grubb; several aunts and uncles; and both parents.
 
Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 18 at 11 a.m. at the Leesburg Church of Christ with Pastor Kevin Stuckey officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Leesburg.
 
Visitation will be Monday, April 17 from 3-7 p.m. at the church.
