Hamilton County woman accused of posing as CPS officer for attempted child abduction
Hamilton County Prosecutor Melissa Powers recently announced the indictment of Lisa Nacrelli, 44, for an alleged incident in Norwood involving the attempted abduction of a child.
Nacrelli was indicted for one count of burglary (F2), one count of impersonation of a peace officer (F3) and one count of attempted abduction (F4). If convicted on all charges, Nacrelli faces a maximum possible sentence of 12.5 years in prison.
On June 17, a 7-year-old child was on the sidewalk in front of his Norwood home when a female stranger allegedly approached him. The suspect, identified as Nacrelli, allegedly rubbed the child’s head and back and asked him to come home with her. The child refused and went inside to speak with his mother.
Nacrelli allegedly indicated to the mother that her name was Lisa with Child Protective Services and was investigating a report made about the children in this home. Nacrelli allegedly entered the victim’s residence to “inspect” the home, then left the property.
The victims contacted Norwood Police and reported what had happened. The victims provided a description of the suspect, video from their doorbell camera and the name “Lisa.”
Norwood Police confirmed the suspect was not employed by Hamilton County Jobs and Family Services.
On June 18, officers located a woman matching the suspect description walking on Montgomery Road and took her into custody.
Powers commented on the allegations: “It’s the worst nightmare for any parent, but fortunately this child realized something was wrong and informed his mother. It is astounding that this woman would pretend to be with JFS and actually enter their home.
“With this type of behavior, there is an obvious concern this may have happened before. If you have any information, please contact Norwood Police Department.”
