November 8, 2025

Offenses/Incidents:

At 11:18 A.M., a business in the 100 Block of Jefferson Street reported a suspicious male sitting on the curb in their drive thru. The subject departed prior to officer's arrival.

At 12:28 P.M., a call originating from the 1100 block of Ford Avenue requested assistance to unlock their delivery vehicle. Officers were able to successfully gain entry.

At 1:38 P.M., a caller reported a red Dodge Ram truck had ran them off of the roadway multiple times on S.R. 753, south of village limits. Caller was advised to report the incident to the Highland County Sheriff's Office.

At 2:06 P.M., a caller reported their vehicle was smoking from underneath the hood, in the Save A Lot parking lot. After investigation, it was determined the vehicle was not on fire and was only leaking coolant.

At 3:45 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Boyd Avenue and Spring Street. After investigation, the driver, Bart Anderson was cited for expired registration.

At 6:58 P.M., a resident in the 1000 block of Grandview Avenue reported several people trespassing on their property. The subjects had departed prior to officer's arrival. After investigation four subjects were trespassed from the property.

At 7:48 P.M., a business in the 1000 block of Jefferson Street reported a male trespassing on their property. The subject was advised to leave the premises.

Bart Anderson, 54, Greenfield cited for expired registration.

November 9, 2025

Offenses/Incidents:

At 8:01 A.M., officers responded to the 100 block of Janice Street to report of a female with difficulty breathing. Assistance was given to EMS personnel on scene.

At 1:49 P.M., an officer responded to the 1100 of Greenhills Drive for a security alarm activation. Upon arrival an officer located an open office door and made contact with a keyholder. The alarm was reset and the door secured.

At 3:03 P.M., an officer responded to the 400 block of McClain Avenue for a male with a change in mental status and making an indirect threat. EMS personnel were summoned to the scene. The male refused treatment.

At 6:09 P.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised they had received a 911-hangup from Taco Bell. Contact was made with employees, who advised everything was OK and they would notify their employee regarding his phone.

At 7:45 P.M., a resident in the 600 block of Lyndon Avenue reported an unknown subject had trespassed/tampered with their property. Officers responded to the scene and cleared the residence. After investigation, it was determined there were no signs of forced entry or signs of anyone having been inside.

At 8:31 P.M., a caller reported the vehicle that was stopped by an officer earlier, in the Burger King parking lot was sitting in front of Save A Lot, pulled over by the addiction center, and the male was screaming at the female. Upon arrival, officers made contact with both individuals. During the course of the investigation, both the female and the male subject were detained. A K-9 Unit conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle, resulting in a positive alert on the driver's side door. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of items of drug paraphernalia and suspected narcotics. After investigation, Megan Penwell, 28, Greenfield, was arrested for aggravated trafficking in drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bryce Penwell, 35, Portsmouth, was arrested for aggravated trafficking in drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and obstruction of official business.

November 10, 2025

Offenses/Incidents:

At 6:35 A.M., callers reported a black Ford Mustang was stuck on the railroad tracks on S.R. 41 north. Upon arrival an officer observed a black Mustang off of the roadway in the ditch line, next to Corvac. After investigation, it was determined the driver slid off of the roadway due to deteriorating road conditions, striking a street sign. A short while later the vehicle was freed.

At 7:30 A.M., a resident in the 400 block of Evans Street reported an unruly juvenile. Both parties were advised accordingly.

At 10:47 A.M., a resident in the 400 block of McClain Avenue requested assistance to unlock their vehicle. An officer was able to successfully gain entry.

At 11:06 A.M., a caller at Community Markets requested assistance to unlock their vehicle. An officer was able to successfully gain entry.

At 12:31 P.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office requested an officer to primary respond to the 1200 block of Cameron Drive to a report of an active domestic dispute. HSCO deputies were given assistance on the scene.

At 1:10 P.M., a caller reported domestic violence/strangulation to a juvenile in the 500 Block of South 2nd Street. The incident remains under investigation.

At 3:15 P.M., a caller reported a juvenile had consumed a bottle of muscle relaxer inside of their establishment and requested officers to check on the juvenile. The juvenile left prior to officer's arrival.

At 5:21 P.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a possible overdose in the 400 block of McKell Avenue. After investigation, it was determined it was the juvenile from a prior incident. The juvenile was transported by EMS personnel to Adena Greenfield.

November 11, 2025

Offenses/Incidents:

At 6:43 A.M., a resident in the 300 Block of Edgewood Avenue flagged an officer down requesting assistance to unlock their vehicle. An officer was able to successfully gain entry.

At 7:43 A.M., a resident in the 400 Block of Evans Street reported an unruly juvenile. Both parties were advised accordingly.

At 2:16 P.M., a resident in the in the 100 Block of McClain Avenue reported an animal complaint. Both parties were advised accordingly.

At 2:45 P.M., a caller reported a suspicious female and male in the area of Family Dollar. An officer patrolled the area and advised the area checked ok.

At 3:59 P.M., a caller in the area of North 2nd Street near McClain Avenue reported being chased by a large black dog. The K-9 was unable to be located.

At 4:43 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Spring Street and 8th Street. After investigation, the driver, Gavin Faulconer was cited for Driving Under Suspension.

At 5:17 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of North 6th Street and Spring Street. After investigation, the driver, Richard Tolle II was cited for Driving Under Suspension, Expired Registration, Stop Sign Violation, and No Turn Signal.

At 8:38 P.M., officers located a male with an outstanding warrant out of the Highland County Sheriff's Office at Flag Way 12. After confirming the warrant, Tyler Godfrey was arrested for Failure to Appear.

Gavin Faulconer, 25, Greenfield, cited for Driving Under Suspension.

Richard G. Tolle II, 57, Leesburg, cited for Driving Under Suspension, Expired Registration, Stop Sign Violation and No Turn Signal.

Tyler Godfrey, 29, Georgetown, arrested for Failure to Appear (HCSO Warrant).

November 12, 2025

Offenses/Incidents:

At 1:42 A.M., officers located a male in the 900 Block of Mirabeau Street with outstanding warrants out of the Greenfield Police Department and the Highland County Sheriff's Office. After confirming the warrants, John Willet was arrested for Obstruction (GPD) and indictments for Aggravated Possession of Drugs and Aggravated Trafficking of Drugs (HCSO).

At 4:36 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of North Washington Street and Corvac. After investigation, the driver, Calvin Stroud was cited for Expired Driver's License.

At 9:59 A.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised they had received a 911-hangup from McClain High School. The School Resource Officer was notified and advised everything checked ok.

At 4:18 P.M., a resident in the 500 Block of Dickey Avenue reported theft of money from his residence. The incident is under investigation.

At 5:19 P.M., a resident in the 1200 Block of Sunshine Drive reported downed wires in their back yard. The Highland County Sheriff's Office was advised the location was within their jurisdiction. The wire was determined to be fiber optic. Contact was made with the respective company.

At 6:16 P.M., a resident in the 400 Block of North Street reported theft of packages that was captured on security footage. An officer located the suspect and packages. The packages were returned to the victim. Prosecution was declined.

At 10:09 P.M., the Lynn Goff Clinic reported threats/harassment from individuals in black Chrysler 300 in the Save A Lot Parking Lot. Officers located the vehicle and made contact with the occupants. Both males were advised accordingly. The driver, Kyle Mathews was cited for Driving Under Suspension.

Arrests/Citations:

John Willet, 49 of Greenfield arrested for Obstruction (GPD) and indictments for Aggravated Possession of Drugs and Aggravated Trafficking of Drugs (HSCO).

Calvin Stroud, 41, of Hillsboro cited for Expired Driver's License.

Kyle Mathews, 21, of Greenfield cited for Driving Under Suspension.

November 13, 2025

Offenses/Incidents:

At 2:29 P.M., A caller in the area of Edgewood Avenue reported two suspicious individuals, possibly juveniles, climbing through a window of a house. The caller did not provide a description of the house. Officers responded to the area and were unable to locate anyone.

November 14, 2025

Offenses/Incidents:

At 7:43 A.M., a resident in the 1100 Block of Sycamore Circle reported threats/harassment to her juvenile child. After investigation, it was determined the incident occurred outside of jurisdiction. Party was advised to contact the Ross County Sheriff's Office.

At 9:24 A.M., a resident in the 900 Block of Jefferson Street reported a civil complaint. Both parties were advised of the civil eviction process.

At 12:10 P.M., the School Resource officer requested EMS to be sent to the school for a juvenile. The Highland County Sheriff's Office was advised.

At 5:53 P.M., a resident in the 900 Block of Jefferson Street reported license plate he found in the middle of the street. An officer collected the license plate.

At 6:05 P.M., an anonymous caller reported that Stacey Hopkins was at a residence in the 200 Block of North 11th Street and that he had been threatening a juvenile male. After investigation, it was determined Stacy Hopkins had an outstanding warrant out of the Ross County Sheriff's Office for Failure to Appear.

At 11:18 P.M., a resident in the 600 Block of Mirabeau Street reported a trash complaint. An officer spoke with the homeowner. The landlord was advised accordingly.

At 11:40 P.M., One Choice reported they had repossessed a vehicle from the 400 Block of Dickey Avenue.
