Governor DeWine orders flags lowered in Lake County in remembrance of Lance Corporal Austin B. Schwenk

In honor of the life and service of Lance Corporal Austin B. Schwenk, Governor Mike DeWine has ordered the flags of the United States of America and the State of Ohio to be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout Lake County on the day of Schwenk’s funeral, Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023.
All other public buildings and grounds throughout the state may fly the flags of the United States and the State of Ohio at half-staff at their discretion for the same time period.
(Editor's note: According to his obituary, Schwenk, 19, of Painesville Township, died Oct. 18 at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune Military Base in North Carolina.)
