A Frankfort man has been sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty in Highland County Common Pleas Court to three counts of illegal use of a minor or impaired person in a nudity-oriented material or performance.

Seth Beatty, 20, was originally indicted on two second-degree felony counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor in June. According to court records, Beatty pleaded guilty Aug. 2 to the three fifth-degree charges contained in a bill of information.

The bill of information, filed Aug. 2, alleged that on or about April 25, Beatty “did possess or view any material that shows a minor or impaired person … in a state of nudity.”

Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss sentenced Beatty to eight months on each count, to run consecutively, for a total of 24 months in prison. He had jail time credit of 98 days.

In addition, Beatty will be classified as a tier I sex offender, requiring registration every year for 15 years.
