Cross country junior high SHL meet results:
Michael Mangus defended his title and was first with a time of 11:02, just missing his course record of 10:49 set last season.
Blake Hildebrant was third with a time of 11:18, Wyatt Crothers was sixth with a time of 12:07, Trenton Zumwalde was seventh with a time of 12:09, and Quintin Schaffer was ninth with a time of 12:22.
The Fairfield junior high girls placed third in the SHL with Heather Cox and Madison Zumwalde placing in the top ten. Cox placed 5th with a time of 14:17 and Zumwalde placed 6th with a time of 14:22.
Cody Davidson, senior and John Cain, freshman, represented Fairfield High School. Davidson placed 13th with a time of 19:40, and will be recognized at the SHL awards banquet at Fayetteville High School. Cain placed 16th, only one place from earning all-league.[[In-content Ad]]
