Snyder named Div. I-II Player of the Year; 10 Highland County athletes named to All-District teams
The District 14 High School Basketball Coaches Association has announced the 2015-16 Girls All-District teams.
Hillsboro senior Madison Snyder was named the Divisions I and II Player of the Year. Snyder, a forward, finished with 16.5 points per game and 10.4 rebounds per game to average a double-double. She finished with 32 assists and 28 steals on the season.
A total of 10 Highland County athletes were named to the All-District teams. In Divisions I and II, McClain junior Taylor Polley was named to the first team, along with Snyder. Hillsboro sophomore Madi Marsh and McClain junior Malea Montavon were honorable mention.
In Division III, Lynchburg-Clay junior McKayla Binkley was named to the first team, while teammates Hannah Binkley, a junior, and Peyton Scott, a freshman, were named to the second team, and Ali Little, a senior, was named to the third team.
For Division IV, Fairfield sophomore Grace Shope was named to the second team, and teammate Macie Pauley was honorable mention.
Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs head coach Whitney Lewis was also named the Division III coach of the year.
