SHAC holds inaugural girls golf tournament

This past week, the inaugural Southern Hills Athletic Conference tournament was held at the Adams County Country Club, where the North Adams Lady Green Devils won the event.

NA won the event with a team score of 208, followed by Eastern Brown (223), West Union (234), Fairfield (246) and Lynchburg-Clay (334). Peebles had two players in the event.

For the winning Lady Green Devils, Kylie Branch was the medalist with a score of 47. Also for NA, Kylee Applegate scored a 52, followed by Brooklyn Young (53), Jade Spriggs (58) and Caitlin Young (60).

The Lady Lions' low scorer was Grace Larrick at 56, with teammates Kylie Potts (61), Chelsie Hester (64), Lauren Greene (65) and Haleigh Baker (70) combining for the 246 score of FHS.

For LC, Shannon MacLeod was the low score at 67. Also playing for LC were Honor Walker (77), Quinn Walker (92), Grace Brownsberger (98) and Tia McConnaughey (103).
