SHAC holds girls basketball preview at North Adams

SEAMAN — The Southern Hills Athletic Conference held their annual girls basketball preview on Friday night at North Adams High School as all eight SHAC schools were in action.

Each game consisted of two quarters as the coaches and players use the games as one of their final tuneups before the start of the regular season next Friday and Saturday.

For Highland County, three schools played in the SHAC preseason event, with Lynchburg-Clay facing Manchester, Whiteoak vs. Peebles and Fairfield vs. West Union.

Also playing in two-quarter games were Fayetteville vs. Eastern Brown and North Adams vs. Ripley.

The regular season openers for the three Highland County teams will be as follows as they will all open their 2015-16 season at the annual Lady 'Cats Classic at Paint Valley High School in Bainbridge.

• Friday, Nov. 20: Fairfield vs. Adena, 4:30 p.m.

• Saturday, Nov. 21: Whiteoak vs. Piketon, 11:45 a.m.

• Saturday, Nov. 21: Lynchburg-Clay vs. Southeastern, 4:45 p.m.
