FAIRFIELD LADY LIONS

- Last Tournament Win: Feb. 16, 2017, defeated Clay Lady Panthers in Div. IV sectional finals, 59-52.
- Season Review: The Fairfield Lady Lions enter the Division III SE District tournament for the first time after being a member of the Div. IV bracket. The past two seasons, the Lady Lions have played in the district round of the postseason tournament. This year, the Lady Lions will have to win two games to reach the district semifinals in Division III.
For this year, the Lady Lions also won their very first SHAC Division II championship with a 10-3 conference record, and they continued their yearly improvement with 17 wins this season. On the Lady Wildcats is senior Grace Shope, who became the girls basketball all-time leading scorer at the beginning of this season, and she also became the school’s all-time scoring leader in both boys and girls basketball as she has over 1,500 points in her career. Through 22 games this season, Shope is averaging 21.5 points per game, as she’s scored 472 points this season.
Others who have stood out this season for the Lady Lions are Blake Adams (8.1 ppg), Brianna Barnes (8.7 ppg) and Samara Cannon (9.9 ppg).
The most recent game for the Lady Lions was on Monday night where they defeated Portsmouth Clay by a 75-42 score in non-conference play.

- Conference Record: 2-12
- Last Tournament Win: Feb. 15, 2017, defeated Portsmouth West, 50-47 in sectional semifinals.
- Season Review: The Lady Trojans have five wins this season, and two of those were in conference action, winning both of their games against Rock Hill by scores of 54-53 and 44-39.
