Purtell receives SEDAB Friend of Youth Award

Fairfield’s Tom Purtell is pictured with the Southeastern District Athletic Board (SEDAB) Friend of Youth Award, Saturday afternoon at McDermott High School.

He has served in a volunteer capacity for over 30 years, including scoreboard, coach, boosters, head of little league and more. Currently, Purtell is an assistant softball coach for the Lady Lions, a team that won the district championship last season.
