Noah Richmond, Chayden Pitzer both race on Saturday at state

COLUMBUS — McClain junior Chayden Pitzer and Fairfield junior Noah Richmond each raced on Saturday at the OHSAA State Track and Field Championships, with both events being finals for their respective divisions.
Pitzer raced in the Division II 200-meter finals on Saturday afternoon where she finished in ninth place with a time of 25.25, a school record, one day after qualifying for the finals of the event following a prelim time of 25.48.

Richmond finished his Division III 1600m run with a time of 4:38.79 on Saturday morning for 14th place.
As for Pitzer, she qualified for the state 200m event with an excellent Athens Regional meet last weekend where she was the regional champion with a time of 25.46. Earlier this postseason, she posted a South Central Ohio League time of 26.53 and a district time of 25.87.
Richmond, on the other hand, had a time of 4:44.98 at the Southern Hills Athletic Conference Championships, followed by a district time of 4:32.46 and at regionals he raced to a time of 4:32.04.
