Mustangs golf tops Lions in SHAC play

The Fairfield boys returned to the links Monday against Highland County rival Lynchburg-Clay at Buckeye Hills, as LC came out on top by a 183-209 score.

The medalist for the match was LC's Zack Blankenship with a 43.

Leading the Lions was Zack Schuler with a 49.

The SHAC league tourney starts Tuesday at Buckeye Hills and will continue this week at West Union on Thursday.

The FHS girls played at Buttermilk Falls in Georgetown on Monday, taking on Eastern Brown and Clermont NE.

The Eastern Brown girls won with a team score of 238, followed by Clermont NE at 241, and the Lady Lions finished with a 249.

The Lady Lions were led by Grace Larrick with a season-best 52.

FHS will be in action Friday at the Adams County CC in West Union for the girls SHAC league match starting at 4:30 p.m.
