Local athletes compete at OHSAA 7th and 8th Grade State Track and Field Championship

On Saturday, May 11, athletes from Greenfield Middle School and Fairfield Middle School competed in the 2019 OHSAA 7th and 8th Grade State Track and Field Championship at Lancaster High School.

Greenfield was represented by seventh grader Lily Barnes in discus and the 4x400 relay team of seventh grader Luca Matesic, eighth grader McKenzie Anderson, Ryan Butterbaugh and Autumn White and seventh grader Katlyn Jett (alternate).

Barnes finished 15th with a throw of 86-09. The 4x400 team finished 18th with a time of 4:25.41.

Paris Priest from Fairfield finished 19th in shot put with a throw of 33-11.25.
