Lions crash Rockets in SHL play

The win improves the Lions to 2-2 overall, winning their second straight game. FHS is 2-0 in the SHL.
“We executed our game plan well,” Fairfield head coach Matt Carson said. “We made them settle for jump shots. This was a real team victory and everybody contributed. We played better on the defensive end and the kids worked hard.”

In the third the Lions, again, scored 15 points while their zone defense held the Rockets to six points. In the final quarter the Lions were outscored by Fayetteville 18-15.
The loss drops the Rockets to 1-3 overall (0-2, SHL).
