Lions boys soccer ties with Southeastern

The Fairfield Lions played their second match of the season Tuesday night, with the score ending in a 2-2 tie with non-conference foe Southeastern.

FHS (0-1-1) scored both of their goals in the first half, ending the first 40 minutes of play with a 2-0 lead. The Panthers of SE scored both of their goals in the second half in the match played at FHS.

Goals for SE came from Blake Vest and Travis Arledge. The goals for the Lions were by Jesse Current and Bennett Hodson. Zach Drabik of FHS finished with nine saves, and Rex Hartman of SE totaled six saves.

The Lions are scheduled to play again on Friday, Aug. 26 when they face the Peebles Indians in their Southern Hills Athletic Conference opener.
