Leesburg Lions Club sponsors 5K run at weekend festival

During this month's Leesburg Village Festival, the Leesburg Lions Club sponsored a 5K walk/run which hosted 51 participants.

The top runner was Fairfield High School student Michael Mangus, with a time of 17 minutes, 2 seconds.

Other top spots were as follows: Girls under 14 years of age, first place, Grace Shope; and second, Carly Arnold; females, age 21 to 40 - first, Erin Walters; second, Beth McClain; females over 40 - first and overall female winner, Carol Grate, and second, Sharon Bick.

Male winners: under age 14 - first, Matthew Mangus, and second, Wyatt Evans; males, ages 15-20 - first and overall winner, Michael Mangus, second, John Cain; males ages 21-40 - first, Erik Allsop and second, Tyler Agenbroad; males over 40 - first, James Cochenour and second, John Palmer.

Claiming the prize for the oldest runner was Bob Hottle, (early 60s) and the youngest runner was Larkin Friend, 6 years old.
