Leesburg Lions Club 5K winners announced

From a field of 48 competitors running in a warm rain on Saturday, June 20 at the Leesburg Festival, the following emerged as the winners in the Lions Club-sponsored 5K run.

In front: Jillian Smith (with her baby helper) first in the female age 20-40 division; Alexis Tompkins, second, 14-20; Meadow Cunningham, first, 14-20; Carol Grate, first, female over 40 and second overall female; Austin Setty, first, male 14-20 (19:17); Heidi Friend, second, 20-40.

In back: Dr. Tara Beery, second, female over 40; Dr. Jeff Beery, second, male over 40; Joe Beery, overall winner and first, 14-20 (16:56); D.J. Davis, first, male, 21-40 (19:00); James Cochenour, first, male over 41 (18:27); Brandston Duffey, second, 14-20; Raymond Friend, second, 21-40; and Dillon Burley, second 14-20 (18:43).
