Lady Mustangs fall to No. 1 state-ranked Summit County Day; defeat Fairfield

This weekend, the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs soccer team split their two matches, defeating the Fairfield Lady Lions on Friday night, then falling to No. 1 state-ranked Summit County Day, Saturday afternoon.

LC, who entered their match ranked ninth in the state (Division III), lost on Saturday by a 4-0 score to SCD (14-0-0 overall), while they won on Friday by an 8-0 score for a Southern Hills Athletic Conference win.

In the Friday match, the first half was 35 minutes, and the second half was 30 minutes.

For the season, the Lady Mustangs are now 8-2-1 overall.

Stats for Friday and Saturday were not provided.
