Lady Lions earn road win at East Clinton

The Fairfield Lady Lions earned their first win of the season on Wednesday night, winning on the road at East Clinton by a 56-52 score.
The non-conference win by the Lady Lions saw three of their players score in double figures with Emma Fouch leading the way with 18 points, while Brianna Barnes and Samara Cannon each scored 12 points.
Fouch sank four 3-pointers in the win, making a 3-pointer in each of the four quarters played. The freshman also made two two-point baskets.

Cannon made three two-point baskets, one 3-pointer and was 3-of-5 from the free-throw line. Barnes made six two-point baskets.
Also for the Lady Lions, Trinity Huff scored eight points, as she made three two-point field goals and was 2-of-3 from the free-throw line.
Scoring two points each were Molly Thackston and Madison Bronner. With one point each was Lauren Arnold and Braylynn Haines.
Scoring for the Lady Lions in the game included a 14-point first frame, followed by six points in the second. In the third, they added 18 points, then in the fourth FHS scored 18 points.
For the game, Fairfield had 17 two-point baskets, five three-point buckets and were 7-of-12 from the free-throw line for 58 percent.
The Lady Lions (0-1, 1-2) will play again Thursday, Nov. 29 at home against the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats (0-2) with a 6 p.m. varsity start at Grandle Gymnasium.
