For the second consecutive game … and day, the Fairfield Lady Lions left the court with a victory, this time rallying from down 11 points in the fourth for a 47-43 Southern Hills Athletic Conference win.

The road win for the Lady Lions came with a fourth-quarter surge, as they trailed by 11 points with 5:09 on the clock.

"To get a comeback win like this on the road is huge for our program," FHS head coach Chad Hamilton said. "We shot well from the free-throw line (Tuesday), and it was great to see so many different girls step up throughout the game."

Kaitlin Evans led the Lady Lions with 19 points, including going 11-of-15 from the free-throw line. She also collected four assists and five steals.

"Kaitlin does so many things that don't show up on the stat sheet," Hamilton said.

In the game, FHS led the first quarter, 12-9, but were outscored 15-6 in the second for a halftime deficit of 24-18.

The Lady Lions led the third, 10-6, then rallied back for a 19-13 fourth frame.

Also for FHS, Lydia Sowders had five rebounds.

The Lady Lions will play again on Wednesday when they travel to take on the Hillsboro Lady Indians in non-conference play.
