Fairfield senior Jesse Current ends his high school basketball career by being selected as an Associated Press Division IV All-Ohio honorable mention, selected by members of the media for his 2016-17 season.
Current, a 6-0 senior forward, averaged nearly a double-double with 11.9 points per game this past season, while also averaging 9.8 rebounds per game. The senior also averaged 3.2 steals per game, and he shot 75 percent from the free-throw line.

“I’m pleased for Jesse,” Fairfield basketball coach Everett Snyder said. “He’s worked hard for it, and I’m happy for him. Jesse has improved a lot from last year, and it shows in his overall play.”
The Fairfield Lions this past season were champions of the Southern Hills Athletic Conference Division II and won a sectional championship as they reached the district semifinals.
In the district semifinals, Current finished with 11 points.
The Division II and III teams will be released on Tuesday.
