Hillsboro Lady Indians win Adam Sharp Memorial

The Hillsboro Lady Indians began their 2016 season with a tournament win on Friday afternoon at the Adam Sharp Memorial, played at Buckeye Hills Country Club.

Hillsboro defeated host Westfall, Fairfield and McClain, who were the hosts of the tournament.

HHS won with a team score of 369, followed by McClain at 427, Westfall (433) and Fairfield (460).

The medalist was Hillsboro sophomore Kristin Jamieson with a score of 69. The rest of the Hillsboro scores included Emily Loudin (79), Hannah Rumpke (107), Madi Stratton (119), Larkyn Parry (123) and Abby Myers (127).

McClain scores included a team-best from Veronica Olaker, and the second-lowest score for the tournament, at 94. McClain also had the following individual scores: Bryn Karnes (109), Chantel Landrum (112), Kendall Pollard (112), Elissa Grate (115) and Erika Martin (125).

The Fairfield Lady Lions were led by Rachel Schuler with a 99 score, followed by teammates Lauren Greene (112), Makenna Lane (136) and Caitlyn Melson (113).
