Hillsboro girls first-place at Ohio Classic

The Hillsboro Lady Indians defended their home course Saturday afternoon, winning the '13 Ohio Classic cross-country race held at Liberty Park.
 
HHS compiled a team score of 75 points, with second place going to Georgetown at 86 points, as there were 109 runners in the event.
 
Reaghan Haines was the top finisher for the Lady Indians with a third-place finish. The sophomore had a time of 21:46, a 7:01 mile pace.
 
The winner was Washington's Alexis Gray, a sophomore with a time of 21:14, a 6:50 mile pace. Sophomores took the top three spots with Adena's Taylor Clarkston finishing in second at 21:34.
 
As for the Lady Indians, senior Alissa Hauke was sixth-place overall at 22:06, a 7:07 mile pace, and Ceairra Neal, a sophomore, was 20th at 23:38.
 

[[In-content Ad]]Freshman Megan Kinsey was 24th for HHS at 23:54, while Madi St. Clair (a sophomore) finished in 43rd (25:16) and Lacee Emery was 44th (25:19).
 
Lizzie Tamborski, a sophomore, was 53rd for HHS at 26:07, and sophomore Caitlin Foley finished with a time of 26:18 for 58th.
 
Fairfield and McClain also had runners in the Ohio Classic but didn't field a full team.
 
MHS senior Sarah Davis was 63rd overall with a time of 26:48, and FHS sophomore Kaylee Crum had a time of 29:13 and sophomore Jessica Taylor raced to a time of 33:46.
