Hillsboro, Fairfield prepare for season with boys soccer scrimmage

The Hillsboro Indians faced the Fairfield Lions in a recent soccer scrimmage between the two Highland County schools, as they each prepare for their upcoming 2016 season.

As for the start of the '16 regular season, the Lions (who play in the Southern Hills Athletic Conference) will begin with a non-conference showdown on Monday, Aug. 22, when they face the McClain Tigers of the South Central Ohio League in a cross-county showdown at McClain Field beginning 5 p.m. 

Hillsboro, of the SCOL, are scheduled to start their ’16 regular season in a non-league game at Eastern Brown on Saturday, Aug. 20 at 10 a.m. 

Start times for all games listed are subject to change.
