Highland County coaches honored as SHAC coaches of the year

The spring sports coaches of the year for the Southern Hills Athletic Conference, four of whom are coaches of Highland County teams, were honored at the SHAC sports banquet.

Pictured are: (front, l-r) co-coaches of the year for boys track, James O'Connor and Shawn McLaughlin, both of Lynchburg-Clay, and baseball coach of the year Garyn Waits of Lynchburg-Clay; and (back, l-r) softball coach of the year Mark Dettwiller of Fairfield and girls track coach of the year Tom Glasscock of Eastern.
