Lady Mustangs volleyball fall in SHAC match to Eastern Brown

The Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs volleyball team suffered their first loss of the season Friday night, falling to the Eastern Brown Lady Warriors in conference play, three sets to one.

Eastern won the first set at 25-22 and won the second set at 25-18. EB also won the fourth set in their win over LC. The Lady Mustangs won the third set by a 25-23 score.

Lady Lions volleyball falls to North Adams, Washington

On Thursday night, the Fairfield Lady Lions fell to the North Adams Lady Green Devils in three straight sets for a 3-0 loss.

The Lady Green Devils won by scores of 25-6, 25-9 and 25-17. Charlee Louden of NAHS led the team with 11 kills. Three Lady Green Devils totaled two aces each (Abby Campton, Brooklyn Stout and Avery Harper).

On Wednesday (Aug. 23), Fairfield lost to the Washington Lady Blue Lions in three straight sets at 25-16, 25-14 and 25-17.

Fairfield boys soccer falls to Peebles; Lady Lions win over PHS

The Fairfield Lady Lions won by a 4-3 score on Friday night over the the host Peebles Lady Indians.

The FHS boys team lost by a 7-0 score.

Hillsboro boys soccer falls to Wilmington; Lady Indians tie with ’Cane

The Hillsboro boys soccer team lost in a non-conference match to the visiting Wilmington Hurricane by a 4-2 score at HHS. Hillsboro had goals from Marshall Ward and Quinn Conlon. 

The Hillsboro girls soccer team tied for the second time this season, this time with the Wilmington Lady ’Cane by a 1-1 score.

Lady Indians volleyball falls to Western Brown in tri-match

On Saturday (Aug. 26), the Hillsboro Lady Indians volleyball team fell to the Western Brown Lady Broncos in non-conference play in a tri-match (best-of-three series) by a 2-0 score. HHS lost by scores of 25-14 and 25-13.

HHS also lost by a 2-0 score to the Zane Trace Lady Pioneers at 25-14 and 25-11.

Lynchburg-Clay boys and girls soccer teams fall to Alexander

In Saturday afternoon action at Alexander High School, the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs lost by a 2-1 score to the host Alexander Lady Spartans. The lone goal for LC was from Peyton Scott.

Also on Saturday, the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs boys soccer team lost by a 3-2 score. Of the two goals scored, both were by Kyle Luneke.
