Hallie Haines signs letter of intent for collegiate track & field

Fairfield High School senior Hallie Haines has signed her letter of intent to join the Wittenberg University track and field team for the 2023-24 school year.

She has been on Fairfield’s track and field team since her sophomore year and holds the school record in high jump, the 400-meter dash and the 4x400-meter relay for outdoor track as well as high jump and the 400-meter dash for indoor track.

Haines was the Southern Hills Athletic Conference (SHAC) and D3 Southeast District high jump champion in 2021 and 2022. Her 4x400-meter relay team was the SHAC champion in 2022, and her 4x200-meter relay team was the SHAC champion in 2021 and 2022.

She has been a state qualifier in indoor track and is looking forward to a successful senior track season.

Wittenberg University is an NCAA Division III liberal arts college located in Springfield, Ohio and is part of the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC).

Haines would like to thank all her coaches, teammates, family and friends for their support.
