Fairfield senior golfer Rachel Schuler qualified for OHSAA SE District Division II golf tournament to be played at Circleville's Pickaway Country Club, taking place on Oct. 2.
Schuler is the daughter of Robert and Amie Schuler, and she is the first girl in Fairfield golf history to qualify for district tournament play.
At sectionals Schuler placed third overall as she was one of three players to qualify for districts as an individual. Schuler scored an 89 at the Jaycees Golf Course with a front nine score of 44 and a back nine score of 45 on Sept. 24.
She will tee-off at 9:30 a.m. and the high school students lined the halls on Monday afternoon to wish her good luck.
