Fairfield’s Kaiti White signs with the University of the Cumberlands to play collegiate softball

On Monday, Fairfield senior Kaiti White signed her letter of intent to play women’s softball for the University of Cumberlands.

White is pictured with her parents Scott and Melonie White. White has also played volleyball and cheered all four years at Fairfield. White is also a two-time All-Ohio selection, including second-team All-Ohio last season.

During her junior softball season, White pitched in 26 games, making 25 starts and finishing with a 19-6 overall record. She pitched in 152.2 innings, allowing 29 earned runs with a 1.32 ERA. White also walked 15 batters and struck out 242 batters, including 205 swinging third strikes and 37 called third strikes.

At the plate for last season, White played in all 27 games, where in 88 at-bats she had a .500 batting average with a .648 slugging percentage and a .602 on-base percentage. White also scored 29 runs and totaled 44 hits with 33 singles, 10 doubles and one home run.

The University of Cumberlands is a member of the NAIA and plays in the Mid-South Conference.
