Fairfield No. 1 in Div. III State Cross-Country Week 3 poll

For the third week in the regular season, the Fairfield Lions are still at the top of the Division III OAT&OCC Division III State Cross-Country Poll in rankings released this week.

The Lions collected 237 points in the vote with nine first-place votes, while East Canton gained two more first-place votes compared to last week with 230 total points and three first-place votes.

 


Fort Loramie was third with 212 points, followed by Maplewood in fourth (192) and Liberty Center in fifth (187).

The rest of the Top 10 (sixth through 10th place) included: Columbus Academy (166), Mt. Gilead (163), Smithville (144), Minster (139) and McDonald (130).

Thus far this season, the Lions are 4-0 at events, including coming off a win at Mason, Ky. with at least four of their top runners not in the race due to varying reasons. The Lions have also won meets at McClain (Greenfield), Seneca East and Hillsboro (Ohio Classic).
