Fairfield Lions to play at the Schottenstein Center

On Sunday, Jan.23 one game will feature two Southern Hills League rivals squaring off in the Scholastic Play-by-Play Classic at The Ohio State University Schottenstein Center, in Columbus.

The Fairfield Lions and Peebles Indians will be playing in the classic at 3:30 p.m The game schedule for the event will be as follows:

12:30 p.m.      Canal Winchester vs. Bishop Hartley

2 p.m.             Roger Bacon vs. Teays Valley

3:30 p.m.        Peebles vs. Fairfield


Fairfield Athletic Director Matt Carson would like to announce that tickets for this event will be sold through the school, and there are a limited number of tickets available.

The cost for the event is $12 per adult ticket, and $10 for a student ticket. The ticket is GOOD FOR ALL THREE GAMES played that day at the Schottenstein Center. Fans are encouraged to get their tickets ASAP, as the revenue has to be mailed back to Ohio State University next week. 

Ticket sales will go up until Monday evening, and can be bought either through stopping in at the school or seeing Mr. Carson at an athletic event. 

The following home events will be available in the coming days in order for fans to purchase tickets…

    Thursday, Jan. 13        Girls JV/Varsity vs. Eastern

    Saturday, Jan. 15        Boys JV/Varsity vs. Miami Trace

    Monday, Jan. 17        Girls JV/Varsity vs. Hillsboro

This is a once in a lifetime experience for these students athletes and any support and attendance at the event from the community would be greatly appreciated. 

If you would like to attend the game but have financial difficulty in purchasing tickets, please call Mr. Carson at (937) 780-2966 and arrangements can be made to help with the costs.
