The Fairfield Lions JV baseball team netted a 17-14 come-from-behind victory over Eastern Brown on Wednesday night.

The Lions trialed 14-6 going into the bottom of the fifth inning, but were able to rally and score 11 runs over the next two innings to secure the win.

The Fairfield JV team were led at the plate by Brennon Mondabaugh, who went 4-for-5 and collected four RBI. Having two hits each for the Lions were Jeffery Spears, Logan Woods, Orrie Friend and Cody Everhart.

Nathan Vidourek, Logan Rohde and Ethan Saunders all collected one hit each.

Woods earned the win on the mound, going three innings, with seven strikeouts and no walks on six hits. Saunders and Rohde came in and pitched one inning each, and Everhart came in and finished the game pitching two scoreless innings.

"I was very proud of the resilience the team showed tonight, to be able to stay calm and battle all the way back and win a ball game," Coach Jason Fox said. "We have had a few cancelled games, these kids haven't played in a week in a half and have only practiced once since their last game. To come in and pull out a win like this speaks volumes about their commitment and the types of kids they are."
