The Fairfield Lions continued to prepare for the upcoming 2016-17 boys basketball season by hosting the Blanchester Wildcats Wednesday night at Grandle Gymnasium in Leesburg.

This scrimmage was one of a few for the Lions this preseason. They will also play in the 2016 Southern Hills Athletic Conference Preview on Friday, Nov. 25 at Lynchburg-Clay High School. FHS will face the host Mustangs in the final game of the event, as they are scheduled to play at 9 p.m.

FHS is beginning the 2016-17 regular season on the road this year with a non-conference game at East Clinton on Friday, Dec. 2 in what will be a tripleheader of freshman, junior varsity and varsity games.

The Lions will play at home for the first time in their second game of the season, in another non-conference game against Cedarville on Tuesday, Dec. 6.
