Fairfield Lions 6th in Week 3 State Cross-Country Poll

The Fairfield Lions boys cross-country team were voted sixth in the Week 3 Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches Division III poll this week.
In the previous poll, the Lions were ranked fourth (123) points in Week 2, but didn't compete as much the following week due to the Highland County Fair.
This season for the Lions has included wins at the Ohio Classic in Hillsboro, the McClain Invitational, and the Bob Schul Invitational where there were a total of 333 runners in their race of Division II and III schools.
As for the Division III standings, Fort Laramie is ranked first with 166 points (five first-place votes), followed by Maplewood with 164 points (five first-place votes), St. Thomas Aquinas with 157 points (two first-place voters), Smithville (143 points) and rounding out the Top 5 was Carey (115 points).
Sixth through 10th places are: Fairfield, Colonel Crawford (100), McDonald (88), Anna (84) and Liberty Center (67).
