Fairfield Lady Lions 7th grade team defeats North Adams

The Fairfield Lady Lions seventh grade girls basketball team improved to 2-0 overall on the season on Monday night by defeating the North Adams Lady Green Devils, 35-26 in a Southern Hills Athletic Conference contest.

Fairfield’s seventh grade girls team led by a score of 12-8 at the end of the first quarter, then outscored the Lady Green Devils, 6-5 in the second quarter for a halftime lead of 18-13.

In the second half, both teams scored six points in the third quarter, and in the fourth and final quarter Fairfield scored 11 points, while North Adams scored seven points for the Fairfield win.

Mya Hamilton led the Lady Lion seventh graders with 29 points, while teammate Hannah Hamilton added five points and Kassi Miller scored one point to complete the Fairfield scoring.

The win by Fairfield puts the seventh grade team at 2-0 on the season.
