The program expects to qualify five boys in all the distance events, which include the 4x800 relay, 800m run, 1600m run and 3200m run, for the indoor state championships held March 4 at Akron State University. In order to qualify, a relay team or individual needs to be ranked in the top 18 in the state of Ohio in his/her event in DII and DIII schools. Fairfield is a DIII school.

The expected boys qualifiers are Dillon Burley, Brandtson Duffie, Matthew Mangus, Trent Swisher and Noah Richmond. On the girls side, the program is expecting Ailean Duffie to qualify in the triple jump.

Indoor track is recognized by Fairfield Local Schools. Indoor track relies on volunteer coaches, generous parents and the use of the school van, as well as fundraisers. The team is currently selling red and black Fairfield beanie hats for $12. These can be purchased at the high school during school hours.
